The apartment is situated in the eastern Giant Mountains at the bottom of the Černá hora mountain. Its peak (1299 meters above sea level) is located above the spa town of Janské Lázně and 5 km away from Pec pod Sněžkou. The mountain’s slopes are covered both with forests as well as meadows surrounding mountain chalets. There is a cable way Černohorský Express going up from Janské Lázně to the 24-meter-high observation tower Panorama providing beautiful view over the landscape and high peaks of the Giant Mountains. A 78-meter-high and from afar visible television broadcast transmitter is also situated at the Černá hora peak.
The SkiResort Černá hora offers the Protěž and Hofmanky chairlifts as well as many shorter ski lifts that all are connected by 4 red and 10 blue slopes. A specialty of the Černá hora Ski Resort is the 3.5 km-long sledge track leading from the top station of the cableway down the Zvonkova track to Janské Lázně. In winter there are 90 km of cross-country trails prepared for your trips or training. In summer you may use these trails for hiking or cycling with a possibility of refreshment stops in many bistros and restaurants.
